All tests will follow the Department of Transportation (DOT) protocol.

All Department of Transportation urine samples must be tested by SAMSHA approved laboratories only.

Negative results are typically available within 24 hours, and positive results will be returned following a Medical Review Officer (MRO) review per DOT protocol, which will take an additional 2-5 days. The laboratory will store all positive samples for a period of one year.
